NORTH QUEENSLAND SUB - BRANCH OF THE

AUSTRALIAN COLLEGE OF MENTAL HEALTH NURSES

The North Queensland Sub-Branch is affiliated to the Queensland Branch of the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses, the professional organisation of psychiatric and mental health nurses in Australia. The Sub-Branch is concerned with promoting excellence in psychiatric and mental health nursing practice and education in Northern Queensland. 

The Sub-Branch holds monthly meetings, usually  via teleconference with members throughout Northern Queensland. These meetings provide a forum to discuss professional issues, to contribute to the wider College and to plan events. The Sub-Branch holds an annual tropical symposium which has proven very successful. Minutes of meetings are circulated via a closed e-mail discussion list.
